Audio IFF (Audio Interchange File Format)



This format was created by Apple for their computers and conforms to the "EA IFF 85" standard for interchange file formats.



Because samples are always stored byte-aligned (ie padded to the next multiple of 8-bits) PlayIt can play AIFFs with any number of bits.

Filetype &FC2 (AIFF or AudioIFF)
Channels Any number (only plays mono/stereo)
Rates Any
Subformats Signed linear 1-32 bits
Annotation Not supported
